The International Conference on Machine learning, Optimization, and big Data

For the second year in a row, we played our part at the International Conference on Machine learning, Optimization, and big Data (MOD), which this time took place in Volterra, Tuscany (Italy) from 14th to 17th September 2017.
 
Our CEO, Giovanni Giuffrida - who in addition to being one of Neodata’s founders is Professor of Information Technology at the University of Catania - is one of the organizers and program chairs of the event.
 
There’s no better way to describe what it is that the words spoken by the organizers, as you read on the conference official website.
“MOD is a premier forum for presenting and discussing current research in machine learning, optimization and big data. It has established itself as a premier interdisciplinary conference in machine learning, computational optimization, knowledge discovery and data science.
It provides an international forum for presentation of original multidisciplinary research results, as well as exchange and dissemination of innovative and practical development experiences, and it consists of four days of conference sessions”.

Research without frontiers

Researchers and academics from all over the world submit their papers, focusing on machine learning- and big data mining and analytics-related matters. The Program Committee composed by university professors joining from popular universities worldwide, including Harvard, the Imperial College in London, and the University of Florida, review submissions on the basis of technical quality, significance, multidisciplinary, relevance to scope of the conference, originality and clarity.
 
The selected papers are then discussed at the conference and later published in a book sponsored by Springer on a yearly basis
